Minera Bornita SpA is a private equity mining firm focused on the mining industry in Chile. It has invested in its projects more than US $ 4 million in different stages of exploration.

The professional team has a solid experience in geology, mining, investments, financial and legal structuring. Minera Bornita seeks control of investments that are involved and leads the project execution taking advantage of its internal technical team.

Currently our team is working on geological studies in the prospecting and exploration stages carried out in 5 areas of interest: South Atacamita, Central Atacamita, North Atacamita, Molibdenita and America, which are located in a virgin sector of great interest (Cu-Mo porphyry potential- Au, Eocene-Oligocene age).

NICOLAS BAÑADOS
Chairman
Nicolas is Managing Partner at Galgo Capital. He has more than 20 years of experience investing in Latin America and serves as Director for several companies including three mining companies, Serabi Gold (AIM: SRB), Haldeman Mining Company (Chile) and Minera Las Cenizas (Chile). Nicolas has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and also received a Master degree in Financial Economics from Universidad Católica de Chile.
AQUILES ALEGRÍA
Sr. Geologist & Director
Aquiles has extensive experience in greenfield, brownfield and advanced exploration programs. He has led multinational exploration teams in Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Greece.
Previously, he served as Exploration Manager of Minera Fuego (Chile), Exploration Manager of Andina Minerals Inc. (Chile), Exploration Manager Normandy Exploration (Argentina), Head of Geology Project Skouries TVX Hellas (Greece), MIM Exploration Geologist Exploration (Australia and Asia), Geology Superintendent Codelco Andean Division (Chile), Exploration Superintendent North Codelco Division (Chile).
He is currently a member of the board of directors of mining companies and a mining investor. He also advises mining exploration and development companies.
IVAN VIDAL
Geologist & Director
Iván has 15 years of experience in Brownfield and Greenfield exploration in porphyry Cu - Au and Cu - Mo deposits, IOCG, Cu - Ag Bound Strata and Epithermal intermediate and low sulfidization. He was also in charge of the brownfield exploration of Antofagasta Minerals in the Sierra Gorda District and Greenfield exploration in the belt of the Eocene - Oligocene Porphyry Cooper, in the El Salvador and El Teniente districts for the company Exploraciones Mineras Andinas, a Codelco subsidiary.
JAVIER DÍAZ
Geologist & Director
Javier has 16 years of experience in exploration and production, from greenfield stages, definition of targets, drilling in the monitoring stage, evaluation of third-party projects. As a mine geologist from probe mapping, modeling and ore control. Aur Resources (Carmen de Andacollo), BHP (Spence), TECK (Quebrada Blanca and Explorations).
ALVARO CRUZ
Director
Alvaro is Business Administration from the University of Chile, with 20 years of experience in business management and finance.
Today he is an entrepreneur and director of companies in the financial, real estate, hotel, medical and mining services area. He was previously CEO of Inv. Volcán Choshuenco S.A. (family office von Appen) and Project Manager of Inv. El Colorado S.A. (family office Santa Cruz-Yaconi).
PEDRO LYON
Director
Pedro is a partner at Guerrero Olivos Abogados, and heads the departments of Mining, Investment Funds and Venture Capital. Assists local and international companies in mining related matters, including corporate and M&A, joint ventures, regulation, financing, project finance, litigation, contracts, and technical mining jobs. He graduated with honors from the Diego Portales University School of Law (2001) and has a Master of Chinese Law (LL.M.) from the National University of Singapore (2005).
