ATACAMITA

Atacamita is the last target discovered in the property. Related to an extensive and long-lived Oligocene-Miocene hydrothermal porphyry system, which includes 3 targets.:

  1. South Atacamita

  2. Central Atacamita

  3. North Atacamita

1. SOUTH ATACAMITA

2.400 Há.

First target detected: Hydrothermal Breccia, Mo and Cu Geochemistry anomaly. Cuttings show the following results:

  • Intrusive wallrock events of porphyry and hydrothermal breccias dated 35 Ma.

  • Small stock of monzodiorite.

  • Quartz, dacitic porphyries dated 35.5 +- 0.4 Ma U/Pb.

  • Granodiotitic intrusive dated 33.8 +- 0.5 Ma U/Pb.

  • Rhyolitic porphyries, rhyodatic porphyries and different types of hydrothermal breccias.

  • Other features of the target:

a) Roads and access available.

b) 3,664 meters drilled.

3. NORTH ATACAMITA

4.200 Há.

Target recently detected. Large stockworks area of veinlets of quartz – magnetite, quartz – goethite – hematite – copper oxides. Granodioritic Intrusive warlock dated 33.8 +- 0.5 Ma U/Pb.

  • Other features of the target:

a) Road and Access to be built.

b) No drillings executed.

2. CENTRAL ATACAMITA

2.400 Há.

Second target detected: Hydrothermal breccia and early vein systems affecting the intrusive rocks of the Upper Eocene – Lowe Oligocene. Copper Oxides outcropping

Strong oxide Cu mineralization, 2-3m x >10m of extension. In amphybole monzogranite, with a sericite over chlorite, and chlorite-epidote-hematite-OxCu-chalcopirite. sample 597593 (1210 ppm Cu, 3 g/t Ag). Photo detail to chalcopirite related to chlorite alteration.

Q and R; Chlorite and sericite-muscovite segregation, with strong epidote as main component.

C, chalcopirite with coveline as a emplacement, in simple contact with bornite-chalcopirite, with emplacement by coveline and chalcosine. D, Magnetite with emplacement by hematite, in simple contact with bornite-chalcopirite, with emplacement by coveline, chalcosine.

Strong alteration - OxCu mineralization trend (N60W), 4-5 m. wide, in a monzodioritic intrusive and porphyry stocks, with clays-sericitic over chloritic-epidote-vermiculite-hmt-OxCu. Incipient kspar alteration. Sample 597576 (0.37% Cu; 6 g/t Ag).

d1.png

Extensive and strong OxCu mineralization. Intensive veins of chorite-epidote-quartz-hematite-OxCu-Chalcopirite. Disseminated relict sulfides, in the biotite monzodiorite. Strong chlorite-epidote-albite. Sample 597584, 0.2% Cu.

In Atacamita the main geological units correspond to Basalt, Amphibole Monzogranite, Biotite Monzogranite, Biotite Monzodiorite, and local porphyry stocks, with an Oligocene age (U/Pb). Except for the late basalts, the rocks are affected by intense alteration and oxidized mineralization

GEOCHEMISTRY

Basic statistics show maximum values for Cu 5.5%; Au 0.22g/t; Ag 20g/t; Mo 90 ppm. where we can highlight that  the copper values are present in the 75th percentile >0.33%Cu.

GEOPHYSIC

IP lines done (1, 2, 3) before the Atacamita system was discovered, therefore new lines (red) to the north must be made to cover the geochemical target. Cross section IP (1), linear 2.6km in the south border of the Atacamita system, and Cross section IP (3), linear 7.2 km at the southern end of the system, or other system.

DRILLING

Two drilling campaigns have been done in South Atacamita target totaling 3,664 m. Results show a diorite and granodiorite cut by a hydrothermal breccia and quartz veinlets.
